	Barry Carpenter, CEO He started in his position in Feb. 2007. Until the end of 2006, he was Deputy Administrator of the Livestock and Seed Program, Agricultural Marketing Service. During his tenure at USDA he led the development and implementation on many high profile issues.

	Rosemary Mucklow, Director Emeritus She has held her position since 1982, when the Western States Meat Packers Association and Pacific Coast Meat Association merged to form the stronger, broad-based organization it is today. Mucklow has been associated with the meat industry for more than 40 years.

	Staff National Meat Association’s staff has knowledge and experience with meat industry issues including federal inspection, labor relations, general government regulation, as well as grass roots problem solving. NMA can also help with technical questions in meat microbiology, processing, packaging, labeling, rapid methods for microbial testing, and proximate, sensory and textural analyses of meat products. When NMA members have a question, the association is always available.
